Six cosy winter oils from our best selling range, each listed under the famous perfume it smells like, with notes and when to wear them.

6 Cosy Winter Fragrance Oils of 2026 and the Perfumes They Smell Like

When the weather turns cold, most of us reach for warmer scents: wood, leather, spice and something a little sweet. After our top 10 best selling fragrance oils, our oud and amber list and our floral and fruity list, this one is for winter. Here are six warm woody and gourmand oils. The first four come from our Best Sellers collection, in the order the store ranks them. The last two sit near the top of our store wide best selling list. Each one is listed under the well known perfume it smells like, followed by our matching oil, its notes and when it works best.

1. Le Labo Santal 33

Le Labo Santal 33 bottle

Our match: Sandalwood Leather Papyrus Perfume Oil

The product page lists these scent descriptors for the Signature grade: cardamom, leather, iris, violet, amber and sandalwood. It is dry, creamy sandalwood with a soft leather edge and a powdery touch of iris and violet.

Best for: anyone who wants a clean, cosy wood with a soft leather edge. The page has no occasion tags, so judge it in your own base.

2. Jean Paul Gaultier Ultra Male

Jean Paul Gaultier Ultra Male bottle

Our match: Pear Vanilla Perfume Oil

Pear, lavender, mint, bergamot and lemon open into cinnamon, clary sage and caraway. The base is black vanilla husk, amber, patchouli and cedar. It is juicy pear and lavender over a big, sweet vanilla finish.

Best for: casual and evening wear in autumn and winter. Men's range, Signature grade.

3. Azzaro The Most Wanted

Azzaro The Most Wanted bottle

Our match: Cardamom Toffee Perfume Oil

The page lists three notes for the Signature grade: cardamom on top, toffee in the heart and amberwood in the base. All three are warm. Spicy cardamom meets sticky toffee and dries down to a woody amber. It is the most gourmand oil on this list.

Best for: anyone who wants a sweet, spicy scent for cold evenings. Listed in our men's range.

4. Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man

Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man bottle

Our match: Pineapple Birch Perfume Oil

Lemon, pineapple, blackcurrant, bergamot and apple lead into birch, jasmine and rose, then musk, ambergris, vanilla and patchouli. Bright fruit fades into smoky birch and a soft musky base.

Best for: anyone who wants smoky wood with a fresh start. Listed in our men's range.

5. Tom Ford Ombré Leather

Tom Ford Ombré Leather bottle

Our match: Cardamom Leather Perfume Oil

Cardamom on top, leather and jasmine sambac in the heart, and amber, moss and patchouli in the base. Think of a worn leather jacket by the fire, with a little spice.

Best for: anyone who loves a rich leather scent. Listed in our men's range.

6. Gissah Hudson Valley

Gissah Hudson Valley bottle

Our match: Saffron Rose Perfume Oil

Saffron and black currant open into rose, then amber and patchouli. It is spicy saffron and dark berries over a warm, woody rose.

Best for: casual wear. Unisex. The page also tags it for spring and summer, so it is the lightest pick here and carries into warmer months.

Which one should you pick?

  • For something sweet: Cardamom Toffee or Pear Vanilla.
  • For wood: Sandalwood Leather Papyrus or Pineapple Birch.
  • For leather: Cardamom Leather or Sandalwood Leather Papyrus.
  • For spice and rose: Saffron Rose.

The notes above are the scent descriptors from each product page. They describe the reference perfume or the scent character, not a lab test of our oil, so every oil will behave a little differently in your base. Pear Vanilla comes in our Signature grade. The other five come in two grades, Signature and Essential, and for Sandalwood Leather Papyrus and Cardamom Toffee the page lists notes for the Signature grade only. Compare both grades if price matters for your product.

How to test before you buy

Warm, woody oils are a favourite for winter products, but each product page says suitability for candles, diffusers or body products has to be confirmed separately. So order the 10 ml sample of two or three oils and try them in the base you actually plan to use. Check the usage limits for your product category, and ask us for the IFRA certificate and SDS for the exact oil and grade. In stock oils have no minimum order, and packs run from 100 ml up to 50 kg.

You can browse more of our range in the Best Sellers collection. We ship worldwide from Dubai. For a custom winter blend, the minimum is 25 kg per fragrance. Questions? Email ankit@aromalabs.store.
